About this Species
Morpho amphitryon is a large and powerful member of the family. It features a unique wing shape and a deep blue-violet saturation that differentiates it from the more common bright blue varieties.
Habitat
Found in undisturbed primary rainforest habitats of the San Martín and Huánuco regions.
