About this Species

Doxocopa cyane features broad, brilliant blue iridescent bands across its wings. It is one of the more commonly seen emperors in the Peruvian lowlands, often landing on explorers' clothes to seek salts.

Habitat

Widespread throughout the Amazonian rainforest territories of Loreto and Ucayali.
