About this Species

Doxocopa cherubina, the Cherubina Emperor, features some of the most intense blue-green iridescence among the Apaturinae subfamily. Males are highly territorial and will vigorously defend their space in the forest canopy.

Habitat

Tropical moist forests of the Peruvian Amazon and the lower slopes of the Andes.
