About this Species
Anaea ryphea, often called the Flaming Leafwing, stands out among its kin for its warm, red-orange dorsal coloration. Like other Anaea species, it possesses an incredible ability to vanish against tree bark when its wings are closed.
Habitat
Tropical deciduous forests and humid rainforest edges throughout the Peruvian Amazon.
