About this Species

Perisama humboldtii, named in honor of the great explorer Alexander von Humboldt, is one of the most elegant members of the genus. Its deep black wings feature subtle but brilliant blue spots that reflect the light with every move.

Habitat

Endemic to the misty cloud forests and temperate mountain regions of Peru (Selva Alta).
