About this Species

Archaeoprepona meander is a robust butterfly found in the Amazon basin. It exhibits a beautiful light blue-green iridescent band over its dark wings, which serves to baffle predators as it flies rapidly through the dense rainforest canopy.

Habitat

Widespread across the tropical rainforests of South America, including the Loreto and San Martín regions of Peru.
