About this Species

Hypanartia lethe, the Orange Mapwing, is famous for its jagged wing margins and tails. Its underside features complex lines that look like a topographic map, an evolution of its leaf-mimic ancestry.

Habitat

Foothills of the Andes and montane forests, usually between 500m and 1500m elevation.
