About this Species
Colobura dirce, known as the Dirce Beauty or Mosaic, is famous for its intricate 'zebra-striped' underside. When at rest on tree trunks, it usually sits head-downwards, perfectly camouflaged against the bark.
Habitat
Secondary forests, plantations, and forest edges throughout Peru.
