About this Species

Asterope degandi Barletti is a rare and highly sought-after subspecies. It is known for having some of the deepest blue iridescent patches in its genus, creating a breathtaking 'velvety' appearance that captures every bit of light in the rainforest.

Habitat

Restricted and remote areas of the Loreto and San Martín regions, usually near riverbanks.
