About this Species

Anteos clorinde, commonly known as the Clorinde Brimstone, is a large and impressive butterfly of the Pieridae family. It is found throughout South America, but it is particularly common in the lowland forests of Peru.

This species is characterized by its primarily white wings with bold, sulfur-yellow patches near the center of the forewings. Like other brimstones, it has a robust flight and is often found in open areas and secondary forests. Its clean and high-contrast design makes it a favorite among collectors.
