About this Species

Baeotus deucalion is similar to its cousin B. baeotus but often features more yellowish-cream bands instead of pure white. Its 'dagger' tails are used to disrupt predators during its erratic flight.

Habitat

Found in both primary and secondary rainforests across the Neotropical region of Peru.

Sustainability First

At Kukusa, we only deal with specimens from sustainable butterfly farms in Peru. Each purchase supports local conservation efforts and rural livelihoods.
